Troy Baker - Vice President - Sales & Marketing

Troy BakerTroy Baker relishes his role in the newly created position of Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

He relocated to SRS Distribution Inc.’s corporate office in McKinney, Texas; and continues to report to John Bradberry, Executive Vice President of Operations.

“We are excited about this new role that will oversee National Accounts, Customer Experience, and Marketing,” said Dan Tinker, President and Chief Operating Officer.

Baker joined SRS in December 2009 as sales manager in the Colorado market. He most recently served as Area VP for the Central Region while living in St. Louis.

SRS’s entrepreneurial management culture and excellent employee training/mentoring are among the reasons why Troy thoroughly enjoys working at SRS.

“I love the leadership under Dan and Ron (Ross, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer). They’re very passionate about what they do,” Baker said.

Troy takes his role as a company leader and mentor seriously. He noted that it is important for leaders to identify growth opportunities for every employee.

“The key is taking care of your employees and developing their individual talents,” he added.

Prior to joining SRS, Baker took on the role of President of Exterior Building Supply starting in the fall of 2001. He helped build the business to 9 locations in 5 states. It specialized in residential roofing, siding and windows. In 2009, the company was sold to Richard’s Building Supply.

In addition, Troy worked for Tim Hanks, Senior VP of Supply and Logistics, for approximately 2 years at Shelter Distribution in Jefferson City, MO. Prior to that, Baker worked for Warrior Building Products.

A native of Assumption, IL, Baker graduated from MacMurray College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing. While there, the self-described “sports enthusiast” played football and basketball at the small Division III school.

In his spare time, Troy enjoys working out at the gym, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues, and spending time with his family. He is also a lifelong Dallas Cowboys’ fan.
